Travel and photography go hand in hand and this is what is demonstrated by our traveler of the fortnight- Rohit Chawla. Most of the times, photography is about practice- clicking a lot of pictures! Here, we sit with travel enthusiast and one of the Prrems co-founder, Diipti Jhangiani to list down some of basic tips/suggestions to make you a better photographer:
This interview is a part of our fortnightly series where we feature a traveler and his or her work on our blog for the fantastic traveler community.
The internet has revolutionized the way in which people connect and share moments. Sharing images over social media has become ubiquitous and it is wonderful but somewhere deep down, we at Prrem’s, are also big fans of the old school postcard charm. And hence, #photocard! Combining the best of both worlds, we are running a campaign wherein you share your pictures with the hashtag PhotoCard and tag @prrems and we'll get postcards made out of them!
Also, the summers are around the corner and many of us are planning for a trip up to the cool mountains in North India. Keeping this in mind, the theme for the season is ‘majestic mountains’. You can send us any image that you think relates to the mountains and voila! You have a chance to take your photograph viral! Not only do you get a beautiful photocard delivered to you, the photocards will also be kept in coffee shops and other places across cities for the public to pick them up for free (we’ll obviously credit you in each of the photographs).
Prrem's wishes all Women a very Happy Women's Day!
Sania Nehwal has done something special for the women’s category of badminton in this country. She undoubtedly is the most successful female badminton player in India giving this country its maiden Olympic medal in the London Olympics. She is the pride of our nation and a force in world of badminton and that is why, she already is a legend.
Churrim Sherpa summited Sagarmatha (Nepali name for Mt. Everest), not just once, but twice and that too, back to back. For this feat, she received the official accreditation from the Guinness Book of records in 2013. The honour was truly special as Churrim achieved this conquest in a single week, which makes her first climber to do so. We respect Churrim Sherpa, who is a determined personality, focused and driven towards a certain goal.
In 2014 Winter Olympics, we saw the origin of the third most successful female Olympic alpine skier of all time. The German alpine ski racer, Maria Höfl-Riesch achieved this triumph by winning her third Olympic gold in Sochi Olympics this year. Being a world champion is not easy and doing it again and again is what makes Maria Höfl-Riesch a ski legend.
